Student Organizations

 

At UTSA we have several active Computer Science student organizations that organize various events and are always happy to welcome new members.

 

ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) hosts talks and presentations, and gives you the chance to compete in worldwide programming contests for students. Contact Trase Westbrook for more information.

 

ACM-W (Association for Computing Machinery Women's Chapter) ACM-W aims to create an engaging academic, professional, and social network for women in technology. Contact Alifya Musa for more information.


CSA (Computer Security Association) also hosts meetings, talks and presentations from researchers in the field, and cyber security contests. Contact UTSA CSA for more information

CSGSA (Computer Science Graduate Student Association) organizes events to encourage research activities and provide a knowledge sharing environment in the department of computer science. It coordinates with other related organizations to enhance networking opportunities, facilitate recruitment information sessions, and host computing related speakers and contests. UPE (Upsilon Pi Epsilon) is the first, and only, international honor society for computer science.
