Student Organizations
At UTSA we have several active Computer Science student organizations that organize various events and are always happy to welcome new members.
- ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) hosts talks and presentations, and gives you the chance to compete in worldwide programming contests for students. Contact Laurence Maddox (lmaddox - AT - cs.utsa.edu) for more information, and check the ACM webpage for more information on meetings.
- CSA (Computer Security Association) also hosts meetings, talks and presentations from researchers in the field, and cyber security contests. Contact Edward Bullard (ebullard - AT - cs.utsa.edu) for more information.
- CSGSA (Computer Science Graduate Student Association) organizes our bi-annual department picnics, as well as other events for graduate students. Contact Keith Harrison (kharriso - AT - cs.utsa.edu) for more information.
- UPE (Upsilon Pi Epsilon) is the first, and only, international honor society for computer science.
