At UTSA we have several active Computer Science student organizations that organize various events and are always happy to welcome new members.
ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) hosts talks and presentations, and gives you the chance to compete in worldwide programming contests for students. Contact Laurence Maddox for more information.
CSGSA (Computer Science Graduate Student Association) organizes events to encourage research activities and provide a knowledge sharing environment in the department of computer science. It coordinates with other related organizations to enhance networking opportunities, facilitate recruitment information sessions, and host computing related speakers and contests. Contact Lee Boyd for more information.
UPE (Upsilon Pi Epsilon) is the first, and only, international honor society for computer science.
