Dr. Gregory White, Professor of computer science and director director of the Center for Infrastructure Assurance and Security (CIAS), has recieved two grants this Fall 2016 semester totaling over $6.75 million.
UTSA and the National Cybsersecurity Preparedness Consortium were selected by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to develop and deliver cybersecurity training through the Continuing Training Grants (CTG) program. UTSA is to recieve $3,015,000 in research grants towards these efforts.
The National Science Foundation has also awarded a Scholarship for Service grant in the amount of $3,737,836 to support the research entitled "Renewal of the Scholarship for Service Program: The University of Texas at San Antonio." Dr. White will be conducting this research in collaboration with UTSA's Dr. Nicole Beebe, an associate professor of cybersecurity.
In the past two years, Dr. White has accumulated over $17 million in grant funds for UTSA and has recently been inducted into San Antonio's Cyber Hall of Honor.
