     Title: Tian receives $82k NSF grant


Qi Tian, an associate professor in the Department of Computer Science, has been awarded a one-year $81,666 research grant to support his research on "Large Scale Partial-duplicate Image Search by Post Verification of Local Feature Matching." This project will explore new techniques for searches for images partial-duplicating a search image. The project will develop new techniques that provide both accuracy and scalability to tens of millions of images.
