Psarris gives Keynote at ICA3PP

Kleanthis Psarris, Professor and Chair of the Department of Computer Science, delivered a keynote talk at the 8th International Conference on Algorithms and Architecture for Parallel Processing (ICA3PP 2008) in Cyprus.

Dr. Psarris's invited keynote talk disccussed how to use symbolic analysis to obtain increased program execution performance. In particular, he discussed, how dependence analysis can be efficiently extended to consider constraints from more complex program expressions and statements. This increased analysis precision allows programs to be better optimized so that they can run faster on high-end parallel and multi-core processors.

ICA3PP provides a venue for researchers and practitioners from academia, industry and governments to advance the theories and technologies in parallel and distributed computing. In addition to the keynotes, the technical program for ICA3PP 2008 included the presentation of over 30 papers by researchers from across six continents.
