Atlas Cook, a fifth year Ph.D. student, and his advisor Carola Wenk, associate professor, received the Best Paper Award at the Algorithms and Data Structures Symposium in Banff, Canada, 2009 for their paper "Shorted Path Problems on a Polyhedral Surface". The award is accompanied by a EUR 500 book voucher from Springer. Congratulations!
