Low-Power and Multimedia Study Group
Fall 2006
What is it about: It is basically an interest-oriented study group. We are going to read interesting papers. The topics to be addressed will focus on (but not limited to): energy-efficient multimedia applications, video sensor networks, power efficient streaming techniques and mobile elements in sensor networks. See following for the list of papers to be read/discussed.
How it works: the group will meet once a week (for around one hour). Participants in this group are expected to involve in the discussion, read/present papers to the group. The group organizers will give talks for the introduction and background information at the beginning. Through the discussion, the organizers hope and expect to bring some aspirations among the group, stimulate research interests of the students, and find interesting projects to work together.
How to participate: All are welcome to attend this study group. Please send an email to Dr. Dakai Zhu (dzhu@cs.utsa.edu) to add your email to the group mailing-list. Or you can just stop by if your are interested in certain topics.
