Eclipse for Home

Eclipse is available at no cost.
The simplest way to get it is to copy this zip file to a USB drive and bring it home.

Once you have the zip file, unzip it in a directory of your choosing. Navigate to the eclipse subdirectory and create a shortcut to eclipse.exe.
Move this to your desktop.

You can start eclipse by double clicking on this shortcut.

Before starting eclipse, you should install a Java JDK on your machine.

You can download the latest Java JDK from the Sun Java web site or you can get a copy here. This is an executable file. Just download it to your machine and execute it. It is recommended that you install it in the default location. That way eclipse will be able to find it.
