My research area is Software Engineering and my work covers: Refactoring, Software design, Programming tools, Aspect-oriented programming, and Programming language design (particularly for End User Programming).
Before I went to graduate school at UCSD (where my dissertation work was advised by Bill Griswold and Sorin Lerner), I worked at Sun Microsystems on ClusterTools, including the Prism parallel debugger.
