I am Dr. Macneil "Mac" Shonle. My research area is Software Engineering and my work covers: Refactoring, Software design, Programming tools, Aspect-oriented programming, and Programming language design for End-User Programming.
I did my graduate studies at UCSD, where my dissertation was advised by Bill Griswold and Sorin Lerner. On the software engineering family tree, you'll find me under Dijkstra and Patterson.
Before UCSD, I worked at Sun Microsystems on ClusterTools, including the Prism parallel debugger.
