Questions and Answers, Fall 2005

  1. Question (Sun Aug 28 20:02:17 CDT 2005): I have a 512mb flash drive and was wondering if this is ok to use instead of the 3.5 disks that you recomended.

Answer: Yes, of course. These notes are out of date, and floopy disks are dinosaurs. A disk was suggested just so that you could make a copy of any work you completed during class. The file systems on the machines in class are not connected anywhere else, so you need a copy if you want to save something. Another good way to retain your work is to email yourself a copy of it.
