Announcements:
9/21/2005 Dr. Winsborough will be out of town 9/26 -
10/7/2005. Class will not meet during the week of 9/26/2005. Class
will meet all three normal periods during the week of 10/3. During
the lecture periods on 10/3 and 10/5, the TA will review problems on a
mock exam. Per the course syllabus, there is an in-class midterm
10/7/2005. Recitation will meet as usual both weeks.
9/14/2005 Henceforth the homework policy is modified by
eliminating the 10% penalty for late assignments. The due date for
assignments 2 and 3 are modified to be 2pm 9/15/2005 and 9/22/2005,
respectively. These deadlines are final.
In the future, I plan to make assignments due on Thursdays. There
will be no assignment due Thursday October 6, the week of the first
midterm.
Mock Exams:
Mock exam I is available to help you prepare for the first midterm exam.
Mock exam II is available to help you prepare for the second midterm exam.
Mock exam II Solutions provides solutions to the second mock exam.
You are strongly encouraged to take the practice exam before you look
at the solutions.
Mock Final Exam is available to help you prepare for the final
exam. It covers only the material presented starting November 7. For
material presented before that time, refer to the mock midterms.
The final is cumulative.
Mock Final Solutions provides solutions to the mock final. You
are strongly encouraged to take the practice exam before you look at
the solutions.
Anonymous Feedback Form: This form will be used during the
semester to solicit suggestions how to improve the course. Although
class time will be set aside for this purpose, you are also welcome to
complete this form in private and put it either in Dr. Winsborough's
mailbox or under his door.
