Give the sample and event spaces for problems 2 through 8, and solve problems 12, 14, 16, 20, 23, 24d, 26c, 28, 34, 36.

Probability theory, pages 466-468: 1, 2, 5, 7, 9, 12 (see the answer for 11 for the solution approach), 19, 23, 24, 26, 29, 30, 31, 38.

Baye's theorem, pages 475-476: 2, 5, 8, 10.

[The older (6th) edition of the book has the same problems with the same numbers but in pages 398--400, 414--416, and 424-425 for the three topics.]
